I am an assistant professor at St. Francis Xavier University, joining the Department of Psychology after recently completing my PhD at Dalhousie University and a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Alberta. I'm interested in how the mind processes information about our immediate environment. I use behavioural, neuroimaging, and computational tools to investigate how we process information for decision and action. 

I believe science should be open. Publicly-funded work should be publicly accessible, whenever possible. People of all backgrounds and lived experiences should be made welcome in the scientific process. Theories, methods, observations, and inferences are only strengthened by a plurality of perspectives.

Outside the lab, I enjoy watching and playing sports. I love to travel. Also, I love binge-watching great TV (hello, Schitt's Creek!), and rewatching awesome movies (I've seen The Dark Knight ~100 times).
